 I am on a Quest! I love The Family: A Proclamation to the World. I love it all, but one of my favorite parts is where it states "Successful marriages and families are established and maintained on principles of faith, prayer, repentance, forgiveness, respect, love, compassion, work, and wholesome recreational activities."
Wholesome Recreational Activities!!! The fact that it is included with faith, prayer, love etc. makes it pretty important. Successful Marriages and Families... Yes I would like one of those, please sign me up. This was given in the 1990's. I imagine it was forseen that electronic screens would take over the world and families spending time together doing Wholesome Recreational Activities would diminish. I am grateful that this was in there to guide us and remind us that we do need to have wholesome recreation to help our little families. How many times do I give up the opportunity to have this by doing something less important. Probably too many time that I would like to admit. So I am making it my quest to figure out what this Wholesome Recreation activity is really all about.
